The purpose of this job
The Senior Manager Product Enablement is responsible for translating client, customer, supplier and business needs into effective, scalable technology and process solutions across Health & Wellbeing.
This role acts as a critical bridge between Product, Sales/Partnerships, Operations and Technology, ensuring that new capabilities are designed, tested and delivered in a way that reflects real-world requirements, delivers strong customer outcomes and meets regulatory obligations.
This role will lead and manage the performance of business assurance testing practice, including ensuring that test practices are complete in full and on time to enable the compliant release of new technology and system enhancements across key platforms and business critical processes. The Senior Manager of Product Enablement will work closely with HI Technology and Digital Transformation teams.
The Senior Manager Product Enablement plays a critical control in our positive risk assurance uplift ensuring that all new programs and technology changes have been assessed for user acceptance before launch in production, including ensuring a focus on key client and customer outcomes through the effective management and cross functional leadership.
What you’ll need to make it possible:
- Experience in a relevant complex business environment especially in either health insurance or financial services with direct experience in owning end to end enablement practices.
- Experience in management, business technology or transformation/change management roles.
- Proven ability in relationship management and managing risk and compliance.
- A track record of achievement and delivery in any relevant commercial field.
- Evidence of demonstrable leadership skills, leading teams and competent in agile ways of working.
- Tertiary qualifications are desirable and skills or training in IT/software engineering, business management, or related disciplines are an advantage. o Strong enterprise leadership skills
- Budget management
- Leadership of transformation, change and strong influencing skills.
- Proven delivery of a technology uplift program within a critical key business function
- Leading cross functional teams to deliver maximum benefit for customers.
What you’ll be doing in this role:
- Responsible for translating project deliverables and BAU requirements into an executable testing and user acceptance practice that spans the scope of platforms, programs and ways of working across H&W and broader enterprise.
- Own and operate the testing and release assurance governance (entry/exit criteria, defect severity thresholds, go/no-go readiness pack, and evidence retention for audit).
- Accountable for quality outcomes post-release, and BAU, including defect triage support and test suite uplift based on incident learnings
- Ensure broader H&W team evolve to meet the changing market, including driving thought leadership and practices remain fit for purpose for Health Insurance through a pipeline of new business process improvements and technology solutions.
- Maintain a register of all testing and development processes (change delivery assurance – testing standards, UAT evidence, release readiness artifacts) to ensure adequate documentation and consistency of practice across the team and vendors.
