The opportunity

We’re on the lookout for an Employee Experience Process and Systems Lead to join our People team on a 12-month fixed term contract.

In this role, you’ll be the subject matter expert in Avature, helping shape and evolve our processes and systems to deliver a smarter, simpler, and digital employee experience. You’ll work closely with stakeholders across ANZ and globally, offering strategic advice and practical solutions to optimise how we work.

Your focus will be on identifying and driving continuous improvement opportunities that are fit for purpose and deliver measurable impact, enhancing both the technical landscape and the employee journey.

Reporting to the Technology Delivery Manager, you’ll bring hands-on experience with Avature, a strong understanding of HR operations, particularly in recruitment, and the ability to translate business needs into effective system and process enhancements.

This role is based in Melbourne (ideally), with hybrid working arrangements available.

What will my day involve?

Key responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for finding and delivering opportunities to continuously improve our recruitment system (Avature)
  • Lead end to end system projects including employee experience improvement recommendations, requirements analysis, system configuration, testing, communications and change management.
  • Creation and implementation of support materials and training to uplift the competency of teams to manage system issues and identify process improvement opportunities.
  • Deep diving into the employee experience through the use of surveys, data analysis and UX testing.
  • Conducting current state and future state process analysis on projects and pieces of work with the ability to then use this data to provide recommendations.
  • Using the data gathered, create employee journey maps to highlight and present back findings.
  • Execute current state and future state documentation along with supporting the development and testing for any new systems.
  • Partner with the business to understand current state and future state and design initiatives to support the achievement of future state.
  • Work globally and locally to ensure that system enhancements and improvements to process are deployed in line with governance frameworks.

What will I bring?

  • Understand the core elements of HR and how HR process and technology serves as an enabler for employee experiences
  • Previous experience as a subject matter expert for Avature
  • Degree level qualification in a related field – i.e. HR, Technology, Business
  • A strong understanding of the HR functional domain and how HR process and delivery works
  • Strong technical skills across cloud-based technology
  • Confident and comfortable with presenting and dealing with stakeholders across all levels of the business.
  • Analytical and a problem solver, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment diagnose issues and work through to determine appropriate resolutions.
  • Experience using agile methodologies and Experience Design to deliver effective change at pace
