We’re on the lookout for a passionate and experienced Operational Excellence Consultant to focus on building and enhancing our strategic capabilities, leveraging our size, scale, and experience. Enabling our portfolio of businesses to meet their full potential, as well as ensuring we are creating a seamless and connected experience for our customers, both within Health Services as well across the Bupa APAC business more broadly.
The Operational Excellence Consultant role provides support to the General Manager, Operational Excellence, and the Operational Excellence Partners in implementing Health Services’ priorities. Responsibilities include contributing to projects and initiatives that are aligned with the organisation’s intended business outcomes.
How will I help?
- Lead the delivery of projects and initiatives set by the Operational Excellence Partners that are strategically aligned with Health Services priorities and targeted business objectives.
- Assist in identifying and executing opportunities for growth, transformation, continuous improvement, process simplification, standardisation and optimisation across the Health Services portfolio.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to enhance ways of working, including refining processes, procedures, work instructions, and strengthening risk and control frameworks.
- Provide hands-on project support across multiple business units, contributing to planning, coordination, documentation and reporting activities.
- Facilitate decision-making and issue resolution across competing priorities within the team.
- Build effective working relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the business to support alignment of priorities and successful delivery of initiatives.
- Advocate for the Health Services transformation and change agenda, supporting communication and engagement efforts that build awareness and commitment.
- Maintain accurate and timely project documentation, including action logs, meeting notes, and progress updates.
- Design and participate in post-implementation reviews to capture learnings and support ongoing refinement of operational excellence practices.

What do I need?
- Certificate or diploma-level qualifications in business, project support, or a related field (or currently working towards a tertiary qualification).
- Advanced PowerPoint, Word, Excel skills are highly desirable
- Exposure to management consulting, strategy, project management or stakeholder engagement roles—ideally within large organisations or the health care sector.
- Well-developed analytical skills, with proven ability to adopt a pro-active stance towards business issues by summarising information with strong communication skills orally and written.
- Understanding of commercial concepts and a proactive attitude toward solving problems with guidance.
- Experience in assisting with workshops and team sessions, including willingness to prepare materials and capturing notes or actions.
- Ability to build relationships and support stakeholder communications.
- Project management skills, including managing timelines, tracking tasks, and supporting delivery teams.
