The Opportunity

We have an opening for a Senior Strategy Manager to join Bupa’s Strategy & Delivery APAC team. In this senior role, you will collaborate with divisional stakeholders providing support on key strategic projects, oversee corporate reporting and drive the end-to-end Bupa A&NZ strategic planning process ensuring alignment to strategic objectives and global ambitions.

Reporting to the General Manager Strategy & Delivery, this senior permanent position is offered with hybrid working arrangements, based from our Melbourne Exhibition Street offices when you aren’t working from home.


Responsibilities:

You will lead key strategic projects that span current business growth opportunities and future transformational initiatives and be responsible for collaborating with Business Units and Support Functions to identify synergies and influence their strategic priorities. In collaboration with the Executive and senior leaders, you will also support the end-to-end APAC strategic planning process, ensuring alignment with global goals, and managing the development of local growth ambitions. Additionally, the role includes preparing presentations for local and global senior leadership teams and board strategy discussions, and coach, develop and support junior members of the Strategy and Delivery team.

What do I need?

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or finance qualification with a minimum of 7-10 years extensive, demonstrated experience in developing and driving strategic change, partnering with diverse stakeholders, and bringing-in and applying new thinking, ideally across consulting and industry roles.
  • Previous experience working in senior strategy positions within the health insurance or healthcare industries would be highly desirable however not essential. 
  • Experience working in a changing and ambiguous environment that calls for clarity of mind and expression. 
  • Additional post graduate business qualifications (e.g. MBA, CA, CPA) desirable.
