Practice Manager

We are seeking an experienced GP Practice Manager or clinician with Cubiko and Best Practice experience

This role will report into the Clinical Director and will be responsible for leading the end-to-end delivery of digital health solutions that support Bupa’s Connected Care strategy. You’ll define and drive the product vision, translate strategic goals into actionable roadmaps, and oversee the development and implementation of technology across our national network of medical centres. A key part of your role will be collaborating with clinical, operational, and technical stakeholders to ensure solutions are fit-for-purpose, scalable, and deliver measurable improvements in clinician efficiency, patient access, and commercial performance. You’ll also play a critical role in enabling the launch of new health services, ensuring digital platforms are aligned to support innovation and growth.

About you:
Required:
- Proven experience working in primary care settings (Practice Manager) with deep knowledge of clinic operations and Medicare compliance.
- Demonstrated leadership in digital health product strategy and implementation within healthcare environments.
- Hands-on expertise with clinic tech platforms including Cubiko, HotDoc, AutoMed, AI scribes, and Best Practice EHR.
- Strong understanding of commercial and operational drivers in primary care businesses.
- Experience integrating technology platforms and data pipelines to deliver clinical and commercial value.
- Ability to build and execute product strategy, translate it into a roadmap, and lead implementation.
- Skilled in stakeholder engagement, communication, and influencing across all organisational levels.
- Familiarity with Human-Centred Design (HCD) and user-led product development.
- Strong analytical mindset with a focus on data, business viability, and technical feasibility.
- Tertiary qualification or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
Highly Desirable:
- Familiarity with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) and agile delivery practices.
- Understanding of broader healthcare funding models, including private health insurance and Medicare optimisation.
- Exposure to enterprise-level data, analytics, and AI initiatives within a healthcare context.
- Experience uplifting product capability across matrixed, multidisciplinary teams.
This role carries significant responsibility for leading the design, delivery, and adoption of digital health solutions across Bupa’s national network of medical centres. You will define and execute the product strategy in alignment with our Connected Care vision, working closely with clinical, operational, and technical teams to ensure solutions are scalable, effective, and commercially impactful. Success in this role demands strong, proven leadership and a deep understanding of the primary care environment, including hands-on experience managing a GP medical practice or across a cluster of practices. Your ability to navigate complex stakeholder landscapes and drive meaningful change will be key to improving clinician satisfaction, expanding patient access, increasing Average Service Value (ASV), and enabling the launch of new, high-value health services.
Key responsibilities include:
- Proven leadership experience in product management, with a strong track record of delivering impactful digital health solutions.
- Hands-on experience working in a GP medical practice or across a cluster of practices in primary care.
- Deep understanding of clinical workflows, practice operations, and the challenges faced by healthcare professionals.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute product strategy aligned to organisational goals.
- Experience managing the full product lifecycle, from discovery through to delivery, scale, and continuous improvement.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across clinical, technical, operational, and strategic teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-centric mindset and ability to bring the voice of clinicians and patients into product design.
- Familiarity with core technologies such as Cubiko, HotDoc, AutoMed, AI scribes, and Best Practice EMR is highly desirable.
- Ability to lead change, coach teams, and foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
- Data-literate and comfortable using insights to guide decision-making and measure success.
