An exciting, 12-month fixed term opportunity has become availablefor an Operational Project Support Lead.
The Data Operations Team is a centralised technology team of specialist skills which enables Bupa ANZ to execute on its Data Strategy. Collectively, we are working to build the future state of Bupa’s data platforms on Microsoft Azure services, and to enable the business to work strategically with data to maximise competitive performance. Data Operations contribute to the evolution of Bupa’s data estate via squad, project, and business partnering approaches.
At Bupa ANZ, Operational Project Support Lead have a broad skill set, and work across various Data Services; Operational Data and Analytics, Data Warehouse and BI, Advanced Analytics and Self-service, and across different business units including Health Insurance, Health Services, and corporate functions.
The Operational Project Support Lead will work closely with business, support vendor & projects to help manage, govern & maintain Data Services across a range of technologies to cover all operational and transition components. They also play an important contributing role in the definition of Standards and guidelines. They are also a key contributor towards the Operational practices of the team.
As a member of the team, you are expected to provide technical mentorship to other team members, lead workshops, coach squads/team on engineering practices, and play a role in operational governance aspects.
What will I be doing?
- Responsible for reviewing all Operational transition documents. (eg: Operational readiness checklist).
- Work with transition project to deliver all operational documentation (eg: Master support guide, ORC, etc)
- Ensuring all documentation related to the transition is accurately maintained and updated
- Conducting post-transition reviews to identify areas of improvement for future projects
- Lead day to day BAU as per the ITIL process (Incident, Request, problem and change management) for data platforms to meet business SLA and Technology KPI, during parallel run or hypercare stage.
- Produce Knowledge Base and Operational support documents to help with faster resolution.
- Identify Root Cause and provide resolution to avoid from issues to reoccur.
- Identify Self-healing options to avoid manual effort required.
Requirements for the role:
- Educated to minimum of degree level in engineering, computer science or related technology discipline
- 5 to 8 years’ experience in data operations/support.
- Service management experience
- Stakeholder management skills
- Operational support experience in below technologies:
- Azure DataBricks and PySpark (Hands on experience is ideal)
- SQL/TSQL - performance tuning, troubleshoot complex queries. (Hands on experience is ideal)
- Azure Data Factory and pipelines (Hands on experience is ideal)
- Devops CICD
- Git - Pull requests, branching strategies.
