In this Content Design role at Bupa, you’ll be working exclusively on our member portal, myBupa. This includes the myBupa app and the members’ section of our website.

Your primary goal will be to continuously improve the myBupa experience for ease of use, comprehension, accuracy and compliance with the legal and regulatory standards surrounding private health insurance.

Your day-to-day work will involve exploration, discovery, design and content production to support the work of a few squads in the myBupa space. Along the way, you’ll collaborate with UX researchers, product managers, experience designers, and other specialists.

Supported by the larger Content Design team, which spans many areas of Bupa, you’ll report to a Content Design Manager and benefit from the practical guidance of the Senior Content Designer embedded in the myBupa space.

Responsibilities

You’ll be applying your content design, UX writing and digital content expertise in agile multi-channel environments. Among other things, this means:

  • adhering to and advocating for best-practice content design principles and processes
  • using analytics and customer insights to help identify optimisations that will improve customer experience and quality
  • devising evidence-based content recommendations based on user-testing, SEO research, content audits and inputs from cross-functional teams
  • translating user and business requirements into compelling content experiences
  • supporting inclusive content design and accessible experiences for everyone (ensure all content is developed to meet WCAG 2.2 AA standards)
  • synthesising complex systems into coherent, concise, and compelling interface copy
  • proposing and building scalable content design artefacts, such as playbooks, pattern libraries, and problem-solving frameworks
  • helping to mature content design processes, standards, and systems to improve quality, consistency, and efficiency of our digital content.

Requirements

  • Around 3+ years of experience in UX writing and/or product content design.
  • Solid understanding of SEO, accessibility, and UX fundamentals, paired with high-level copywriting, grammar and editing skills.
  • Experience working on content for both website and mobile applications
  • Proven ability to effectively communicate content decisions and ideas to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong background in using data, research, and analytics to optimise content performance.
  • Familiarity with enterprise CMS production platforms such as Sitecore or Adobe Experience Cloud.
  • A growth mindset with experience in or curiosity about design thinking and human-centred design methodologies.
  • A tertiary qualification in communications, writing, journalism, marketing, or a related field.
