The Opportunity: 12 month fixed-term contract 

As a Business Analyst, you are the ‘glue’ between our delivery teams and our business stakeholders. 

Your role is to work with key stakeholders to ensure Bupa is building and supporting the right Health Insurance products and their associated Health Insurance customer experiences with our technology delivery staff. A crucial part of this role is to understand customer needs and the business’ goals and represent these in delivering business change.

What You’ll Be Doing

Here's what you can look forward to in this role:

  • Actively engaging with Product Leaders, Delivery leaders and Initiative Owners to understand their priorities and provide analytical support to define the delivery and support of initiatives. 
  • Analyse and decompose business requirements into features and user stories, also including acceptance criteria 
  • Work with Product Leaders, ensuring you focus on priority features and stories based on the team priorities 
  • Assist in the creation of the team backlog and answering questions to add detail to user stories 
  • Provide advice and analysis for the operation of HI products and customer experiences of those products through existing processes and systems
  • Provide analysis to support delivery team members to implement changed processes, policies, data and systems. You will help pinpoint process, policy, system, data or requirement issues to help team members progress new business outcome functionality. This ensures accurate and quality provision of product information to HI customers.
  • Contribute to ongoing delivery improvement, including enhancements, small changes, bug fixes and optimisations.

What You’ll Bring

To succeed in this role, you’ll ideally have:

  • Demonstrated experience in Health Insurance industry including fulfilment of Health Insurance regulatory requirements 
  • Proficiency in SQL or Oracle query writing, with the ability to develop queries to investigate data issues, identify data discrepancies, and support data-driven problem resolution.
  • Developing requirements that can be translated into features and user stories 
  • The ability to communicate, facilitate, collaborate and work with others from diverse backgrounds and experience levels 
  • Experience working across multiple streams in a fast paced, dynamic, and collaborative environment
  •  Extracting / eliciting requirements / problems in customer experiences and good understanding of varying methods for capturing and documenting requirements / user stories 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
