Are you a collaborative and outcomes-driven Business Analyst looking for your next opportunity to work on complex, strategic initiatives that make a real impact? Bupa is seeking a motivated Business Analyst to join our Melbourne-based team for a 12-month fixed-term contract.
About the Role
As part of Bupa’s Technology team, you’ll work closely with business stakeholders and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality analysis on large-scale projects and initiatives. You’ll play a key role throughout the entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), from discovery through to delivery, helping to design solutions that put our customers at the heart.
You’ll also support and mentor other analysts, uplift Agile practices, and ensure requirements are accurately captured, clearly communicated, and efficiently delivered.
What You’ll Do
- Partner with business teams to understand challenges and identify opportunities
- Facilitate workshops to define scope, requirements, and process improvements
- Develop business and functional requirement specifications (BRS/FRS)
- Translate business needs into Epics, Features, and User Stories with clear acceptance criteria
- Collaborate with developers, designers, and testers to ensure shared understanding
- Review testing plans, strategies, and results; support UAT as needed
- Mentor junior BAs and contribute to Communities of Practice
- Champion Agile principles and continuous improvement
About You
- You’ll bring a mix of technical knowledge, business acumen, and strong stakeholder engagement skills, along with:
- 2+ years’ experience as a Business Analyst in technology or digital environments
- Strong experience in stakeholder engagement and facilitation
- Demonstrated ability to deliver in Agile, Hybrid, or Waterfall environments
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience using tools such as Azure DevOps, Visio, Miro, or Lucidchart
- A collaborative, consultative mindset with a passion for solving complex problems
- Exposure to mentoring or supporting junior team members (desirable)
- Relevant tertiary qualifications or certifications in Agile (desirable)
