Working from discovery through to delivery, you’ll collaborate with product, research, content, and engineering to simplify complex service journeys (such as payments and claims), leveraging native patterns, gestures, and interactions to create seamless, high-quality app experiences. You’ll produce prototypes, support usability testing, and deliver dev-ready assets, ensuring all outputs are consistent, scalable, and aligned to Apple HIG and Material Design standards.
This is a 12 mth full-time fixed term role (with a possibility to go permanent), based in Melbourne or Sydney, with flexible hybrid working arrangements (a mix of working from home and in-office collaboration as required).
Your responsibilities will include:
- Design end-to-end mobile journeys, flows, and interfaces that simplify complex tasks and improve task completion
- Translate legacy or non-native experiences into intuitive, native iOS and Android designs
- Create wireframes and prototypes to validate ideas and refine experiences through usability testing
- Collaborate closely with engineers, product, and content to deliver seamless, high-quality app experiences
- Deliver polished, dev-ready design assets aligned to platform patterns and best practice
- Apply and contribute to design system components to ensure consistency and scalability
- Break down complex problems into clear, focused user flows with minimal UI clutter
- Support workshops and collaborative sessions to align on problems and solutions
- Continuously iterate based on feedback, data, and user insights to improve outcomes

- Proven ability to simplify and declutter complex interfaces into clear, focused flows
- Proficiency in Figma and creating user flows, wireframes, and interactive prototypes
- Experience working with design systems and applying accessibility standards (WCAG 2.2)
- Strong UI fundamentals (layout, typography, visual hierarchy)
- Experience designing end-to-end service journeys (e.g. payments, claims, account flows)
- Collaborative mindset, comfortable working within cross-functional Agile squads
- Ability to balance customer needs, business goals, and technical constraints
