Job Application Tips-

  • Research the Role, Bupa and our values.
  • Include an eye-catching Cover letter.
  • Add a bit of your deadly personalities and make sure your resume is up to date.
  • include what you have achieved in previous roles.
  • Highlight your transferrable skills and experience.

Interview tips –

  • Questions will generally be around experience, your motivations for this role & communication style.
  • Dressing appropriately. Ensure that you are dressed suitably for the environment of the role and arrive on time.
  • Use relevant workplace experience with your questions and answers.
  • Know your value & highlight your career achievements.
  • Ask questions 😊

Common mistakes to avoid-

  • Make sure you read through the job description thoroughly and follow instructions required for your application.
  • Check your spelling and grammar. Avoid short handing of word and typos!
  • Make sure to include all required information, don’t leave out important dates and job details.
  • Dressing inappropriately – make sure to dress professionally and conduct yourself accordingly with the workplace you are applying for.

Video and Phone Interviews –

  • Make sure you are in a quiet area with good internet connection where you can avoid interruptions & distractions.
  • Dress professionally as if you would in an in-person interview.
  • Read instructions carefully to make sure you are prepared.
  • Have a trial run with your webcam to test for any technical difficulties.
  • If you do not have access to a laptop or phone for the interview, try to organise with family members to use theirs or even a local library.
  • Be yourself- let that deadly personality & energy shine through and highlight all your experience – have fun and be yourself :)

Assessment centres – what to expect.

These will either be run in person at one of our Bupa locations or Virtual through a Teams meeting link and run for around 2 hours. You will be introduced to Our Bupa Leaders who will be taking part in these sessions with you.

These sessions will include things like; role playing & group activities and individual interviews.

Why we do this? We have designed these assessment centres and activities to understand the way you make decisions, plan, prioritise, convince others, handle objections and work within a team.

*It is important to remember to treat this as a normal interview & conduct yourself as you would a normal individual face to face interview.
