At Bupa, we’re transforming the way healthcare is done.

Will my contract or engagement arrangement change? 

No immediate changes are planned to your current contractual arrangements. You will continue to practise under your existing agreement following settlement. 

Do I need to sign a new agreement? 

No. There is no requirement to sign a new agreement as a result of the acquisition. 

Who will I contract with after settlement? 

You will continue contracting with your current Partnered Health entity. While ownership of that entity will change, your current contractual arrangements will remain in place. 

Will my income or billings be impacted? 

No. Your current billing and payment arrangements will continue unchanged following settlement. 

How and when will I be paid? 

There are no changes to payment processes or timing. You will continue to receive payments or your percentage of billings in line with your current arrangements. 

Will there be any changes to my clinical or billing independence? 

No. Bupa supports full clinical and billing autonomy for all medical practitioners, does not direct clinical decisions or care pathways, and does not provide preferred provider lists. 

We also acknowledge patients’ role in navigating their individual healthcare journeys, including their right to choose their treating doctor and service providers. 

Will consultation models, appointment lengths or patient mix change? 

You should continue practising as you do today and you will continue to retain an absolute discretion about how you provide healthcare services to you patients.  

Will there be changes to the way my practice operates day to day? 

No, your day-to-day operations should continue as usual. Any future changes will be communicated in advance and introduced in partnership with Partnered Health leadership, Area and Practice Managers. 

Will clinical systems or practice software change? 

For now, there will be no changes to clinical systems or practice software. Taking a measured and collaborative approach to integration planning over the coming months will allow us to identify the right approach to integration, including technology and systems after settlement.  

Any changes will be communicated in advance and introduced in partnership with Partnered Health leadership, Area and Practice Managers. 

Will there be any changes to nursing or administrative support? 

No changes are planned at this time. Your current support model will remain in place following settlement. 

Will my patients be affected? 

No, patients will continue to access care as they do today. We recognise the need to minimise disruption for clinics, patients and communities. 

Will patient records or confidentiality arrangements change? 

No. Personal and medical information continues to be handled securely and in line with strict privacy requirements. Protecting patient privacy and confidentiality remains a top priority. 

Do I need to do anything as a result of the acquisition? 

No action is required from clinicians at this time. 

Should any actions be required in the future, we will communicate directly with affected individuals and provide the necessary support and guidance. 

Can I access Bupa benefits? 

Doctors and practitioners will have access to a range of partner benefits, including discounts on Bupa health insurance and other partner offers.  

As part of the integration, we will work through the timing of when these benefits will be available for Partnered Health and will confirm details as they become clearer.
