Townsville Medicare Urgent Care Clinic

Play a leading role in the evolution of healthcare in Australia! Backed by state and federal governments, Medicare Urgent Care Clinics (UCCs) have already reduced pressure on the hospital system and makes it easier for residents to see a doctor or nurse when they require urgent but not life-threatening care.

Medicare Urgent Care Clinics are GP-led services providing more options for people seeking access to urgent medical care. The Townsville Urgent Care Clinic operates 7 days per week, and is embraced by the community of Townsville, as it has in other major and regional/rural cities.

The Townsville UCC is looking for VR GPs who live in the area or those who can commute to Townsville, or, those that wish to relocate. We want to hear from FRACGPs who thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, preferably with an interest or experience in assessing and treating patients who would normally be triaged in a hospital setting under Category 4 and 5.

2 years experience in ED or in another UCC is essential for the role.

Attractive hourly rates are on offer.

Rates are:
 Mon- Fri 8-6 is $250/hr,
 Mon - Fri 6p-10p is $275/hr
 Sat/Sun 8-10p $275/hr

We require a VR GP to commit to regular shifts in the UCC.

  • Flexible Options – Work around existing commitments
  • Generous Hourly Rates
  • Nursing Support
  • Reserved On-Site Doctor’s Parking

We welcome the chance to speak with you about this or other opportunities in Bupa Medical Centres across QLD, NSW and VIC, and in our other UCC’s at other sites.

Celebrate Wear it Purple Day and be the change

Wear it Purple was started to raise awareness of the discrimination faced by LGBTIQ+ youth, and the higher levels of suicide, depression and anxiety they experience as a result.

Ban the asterisk

Our customers have told us that our products can be confusing and complex when we add an asterisk (*) with fine print in our policies. To respond to our customers’ needs, in 2020 the Product Deisgn Squad was created to make our products simpler, more relecant and personalised. Here’s how putting our customers at the heart of everything helped the team ban the *.
