Senior Actuary - Performance

Are you passionate about data analysis and risk management? Do you thrive on optimising portfolios to achieve the best outcomes? This Senior Actuary/Actuary role will be responsible for providing profitability analysis insights for both the domestic and international portfolio, identifying claim drivers and projecting product performance, and pricing new products and benefit changes.
How will I help?
- Lead forecasting of product profitability for performance management
- To identify and leverage potential insights and opportunities to improve and optimise the performance and margin of existing products and portfolios
- To act as subject matter expert and provide guidance to the business in interpretation of model results
- Active contributor and member of the Profitability Monitoring Group
- Close business partner with Product team and Health Claims Management team
- Active contributor to the annual premium application process
- Assisting with Post Implementation Reviews of past product changes
- To prepare or assist with the preparation of Actuarial Advice as required under the Actuarial Advice Framework to the business or Board.

What do I need?
- More than 2 years of post-qualification (FIAA) work experience
- Fellow of Institute of Actuaries of Australia (FIAA)
- Actuarial experience with a large Australian health insurer is desirable
- Strong report writing and communication skills
- Have a proven track record of being able to work with non-actuaries and with different levels of management.
