The purpose of the role
Bupa has ambitious plans to provide customers with an advanced and dependable Technology solutions, requiring innovation and resilience. Technology Operations and Architecture teams are key enablers to achieve the strategy. The Risk Partner – Technology Operations and Architecture role is a senior position accountable for designing, leading, and implementing activities across the Market Unit which drive effective management and awareness of Technology risks.
What you’ll be doing
As subject matter expert on Technology risk, you’ll partner with senior APAC Technology leaders to support the identification, management, monitoring and mitigation of Technology risks and effective risk governance of strategic programs. This role will provide 2LoD Risk ‘Review and Challenge’ to ensure adherence to applicable frameworks, policies, standards and defined Risk Appetites.
This role will collaborate with the broader risk teams to support Technology policies and frameworks, develop training and awareness to ensure that Technology risk management practices are effective and aligned with emerging regulatory requirements.
What you’ll need to make it possible
As a LT member of the Technology, Cyber & Data Risk team, we anticipate you’ll bring 10+ years’ professional experience in Technology, Security &/or Technology Risk Management (first line or second line) and hold a relevant tertiary qualificationin Data Science, Computer Science or Information Technology.
In addition, you’ll bring to the role:
- Industry certifications-ISACA (CRISC, CISA, CISM) or RMIA(CPRM)
- Previous work experience in a regulated environment and an understanding of relevant standards, framework, governance and reporting e.g. APRA preferred.
- Comprehensive risk management experience including facilitating risk workshops, stress and scenario tests.
- Appropriate knowledge and experience to confidently interact with senior stakeholders and deliver clear presentations to senior management teams on all aspects of Risk Management Framework.
- People leadership experience, leading small hybrid teams (this role has one direct report)
