The opportunity

The Project Communications Lead plays a pivotal role in shaping and delivering the communications strategy across our Bupa Villages and Aged Care portfolio. Working in close partnership with both the Corporate Affairs team and the Projects & Change team, this role leads the design and execution of impactful communication plans that bring our strategic initiatives to life.

In this role, you will craft engaging, clear, and tailored communications that support successful implementation of . Your work will ensure that all relevant stakeholders understand the why, what, and how of our initiatives — building strong alignment, and driving meaningful engagement.

By creating cohesive and targeted messaging, you will help the organisation realise our strategy and support teams through change with confidence and clarity.

How will I help?


  • Lead stakeholder engagement to ensure every audience feels informed, connected, and supported.
  • Develop and execute a holistic communications strategy, including tailored initiative specific and holistic portfolio wide change‑communications plans that support teams to understand how our initiatives support our strategy.
  • Oversee communications workstreams across the project portfolio, ensuring messaging is aligned, timely, and connected to the broader strategic agenda.
  • Benefits optimisation & innovation: Turn project outcomes into measurable value by identifying, capturing, and amplifying benefits to key stakeholders.
  • Champion networks: Build and nurture networks of change champions who advocate, influence, and help embed new ways of working.
  • Change leadership: Empower leaders with the tools, insights, and confidence to guide their teams with clarity and trust.
  • Communications & engagement: Ensure every step of the journey is supported by clear messaging, meaningful interactions, and strong stakeholder alignment.
  • Learning & training: Partner with experts to design learning pathways and deliver capability uplift that enables teams to adopt and sustain change.

What do I need?


  • Strong stakeholder management skills – able to build trusted relationships and work effectively across different teams and levels.
  • Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal, with the ability to translate complex information into clear, engaging messages.
  • Proven experience delivering large‑scale, complex communication strategies for diverse internal and external audiences.
  • Exceptional facilitation and collaboration skills – comfortable leading discussions, workshops, and working closely with project teams.
  • Ability to deliver in a fast‑paced environment, managing competing priorities while maintaining quality.
  • Outstanding time management, balancing multiple deadlines and deliverables with ease.
  • Flexibility to work independently and as part of a highly collaborative team, contributing proactively and supporting others when needed.
