We have a new Senior Technical Business Analyst opportunity within our Data Program where you’ll be helping us become the most trusted, digitally integrated healthcare partner.
The opportunity:
The Data Program will be transforming the way we store, govern, analyse, and use data across Bupa.
In this role, you’ll be contributing to the realisation of value for the Health Insurance (HI) business unit from our data programs and data initiatives.
We’re looking for someone that is collaborative, value driven and who deeply understands complex technical environments and toolsets required to achieve outcomes with data, working in complex, ambiguous and challenging situations while engaging with senior leaders.
To be successful in this role, you’ll need to:
- Have a minimum of 5 years’ experience working as a Technical Business Analyst.
- Have a minimum of 5 years’ experience working with SQL, SAS and/or Data Bricks.
- Have experience working with delivery and collaboration toolsets, especially work systems e.g., MS Azure DevOps, Atlassian, etc.
- Be well versed in Data Retention / Data Governance / Platform Data Analysis.
This is a 12-month Fixed term Contract/Secondment opportunity, that can be based in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane.
We offer hybrid work arrangements, so you’ll have the flexibility to work from one of our offices in any of these locations in the CBD and work from home.
How will I help?
You will add value by:
- Implementing a structured methodology to capture scope and requirements, incl. business process, information flow, user experience, etc., and to ensure quality of work and sign-off by stakeholders.
- Engaging in business analysis activities for complex initiatives, typically in the forming stage, to influence and shape solution roadmap by providing must-have, should-have, could have requirements and working with the solution architect to provide solution options and trade-off analysis.
- Engaging in complex data analysis to support business rules, business requirements and testing outcomes. Ensure use of SQL, Data Bricks and SAS is consistent across the team and drives quality outcomes and results.
- Having a strong bias for working within an operating model which prioritises forming persistent long-lived teams of business and technology capability empowered to deliver on commercial and customer outcomes.
- Coaching and supporting teams and individuals to effectively utilise their specialised skills (i.e., business analysts to communicate ideas to improve customer and employee experiences and business process) to deliver results in cross-functional teaming environments.
- Working within the guardrails of the overall Bupa business and technology landscape to ensure that teams operate with the mindset of "freedom within a framework" to ensure that team members such as business analysts are empowered to make decisions while working to support the greater good beyond their scope.
