Senior Performance Manager
Melbourne, Australia
Ready to Shape the Future of Healthcare? Join Bupa as a Senior Performance Manager and play a pivotal role in driving the growth of our Health Insurance business.
Why This Role Matters
- Drive the commercial growth engine of our Health Insurance business.
- Break down business problems to identify and deliver solutions.
- Develop and instil a performance mindset across our business.
What You’ll Be Working On
As a Senior Performance Manager in our Health Insurance (HI) team, you’ll be at the heart of our business - developing growth strategies and proactively uncovering growth opportunities, partnering with senior leaders to make decisions on when and how to drive growth and ensuring we can deliver on our growth ambitions.
This role is perfect for someone who thrives at the intersection of strategy, insight, and execution—and wants to make a real impact. You will take a data-first approach to identifying growth opportunities and partner across the business to realise them and steer our business to delivering on our growth ambitions through a deep understanding of where our business is headed and what we need to do differently to improve performance.
We’re Looking for Someone to:
- Uncover growth opportunities: Proactively identify and size improvements to customer outcomes and business performance.
- Enable decisions: Make sure the right metrics and signals are visible across the business to support smarter, faster action.
- Understand where we’re going: Get ahead of the business by forecasting and communicating to stakeholders our position, based on internal and external trends.
- Turn data into action: Build reporting, dashboards, and insights that drive better decision-making and commercial outcomes.
- Lead performance rhythms: Design and run forums and operating rhythms that ensure teams are aligned and accountable.
This permanent full-time position may be based at our Exhibition Street, Melbourne offices. Bupa offers hybrid working arrangements to work from the office and from home.
You will bring:
- A bachelor’s degree in business, economics, finance, or a related field.
- 5–9 years’ experience in performance, strategy, growth, or commercial roles — ideally with exposure to multiple industries.
- Previous experience in management consulting and/or internal strategy roles within large or complex organisations.
- Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders across a business and lead through insight rather than hierarchy.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data tools such as Excel, Power BI, and Looker.
- A proven track record in building and embedding performance frameworks and commercial operating models that deliver results.
