The Senior Finance Business Partner will provide financial and commercial leadership to Bupa’s Healthcare Management (HCM) team with a focus on Claims expenditure which totals over $7bn.

The scope of the role includes providing analysis and insights into the drivers of customer claims plus partnering with the business to develop strategies and initiatives to optimise claims paid such as preventative health initiatives.

How will I help?

• Provide financial & commercial advice, planning & reporting and analytical insights to the HI Finance team and HCM team
• Play a key role in the strategic direction, design, implementation of growth and cost saving initiatives that are being developed by the HCM Leadership team
• Active contributor to the HCM Leadership team
• Play a key role in the strategic direction, design, implementation of key initiatives that are being developed by the HCM Leadership team
• Analysis, support, and delivery of all commercial finance aspects of the HCM business unit’s claims expenditure
• Preparing and reviewing business cases, stage gate modelling for hub initiatives, hospital contract commercial support and the provision of commercial insights to the various leadership teams
• Financial modelling and providing commercial insights and guidance on hospital contract negotiations
• Provide timely communication of all commercial matters, operational drivers, and trends (internal & external) impacting the claims expense
• Supporting the FP&A and HCM teams as well as actuarial in a collaborative Annual Operating Plan process

What do I need?

We are seeking a driven and qualified finance professional to join our team in a senior commercial support role. Ideal candidates will be degree-qualified with a CA or CPA qualification and bring experience in a senior finance or commercial support role, with a focus on business partnering for operational and/or sales teams. Experience in financial services, health, retail, or utilities industries is highly valued, and prior experience in health insurance is especially advantageous.

This role requires a highly effective communicator who can foster strong, positive relationships with stakeholders across all levels. We’re looking for someone with sharp commercial acumen, a proactive mindset for continuous improvement, and an unwavering attention to detail.
