Working across South East Melbourne, this is a roving opportunity supporting a portfolio of modern care homes. Our homes vary in size and care types, but all share a common goal: focusing on the health, lifestyle and well-being of our residents.


The heart of the role
As a Roving Care Manager, you will work as part of a team of empathetic and caring clinical professionals. You will provide clinical leadership and operational support across multiple care homes, partnering with General Managers to ensure the delivery of person-centred care for residents. You will play a key role in maintaining the highest standards of assessment, care planning, evaluation and clinical governance, helping residents live longer, healthier, and happier lives.

Duties include

  • Support clinical operations across multiple care homes as required
  • Provide leadership, coaching and mentoring to clinical teams
  • Assist with staff allocations, delegation, performance management and education
  • Review clinical incidents, complaints and changes
  • Support compliance with AN-ACC assessments
  • Oversee person-centred care planning and evaluation, including case conferencing
  • Conduct and support clinical governance audits
  • Oversee medication management in line with legislative requirements
  • Liaise with allied health, medical practitioners and other services to ensure optimal resident care
  • Step into Care Manager roles during periods of leave or operational need

What will you bring?

  • Bachelor of Nursing with current AHPRA registration is essential
  • Postgraduate qualification in aged care highly regarded
  • Experience managing a minimum of 30 beds
  • Proven track record in delivering quality clinical care within aged care or acute settings
  • Strong clinical assessment and care planning skills
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and relationship management skills
  • Understanding of Resident Rights, Aged Care Accreditation Standards and Outcomes
  • Flexibility to travel across multiple sites within South East Melbourne
