The Opportunity 

Bupa’s Property team have an opening for a National Workplace Operations Manager to play a key role in shaping the future of workplace services across Australia. As an experienced people leader, you’ll lead a dedicated team of 8-10 workplace service professionals and manage office operations including handling reception, mail services, facilities management, and minor refurbishments. You’ll be responsible for maintaining high standards across corporate office spaces, while developing and executing strategies to support our hybrid teams nationwide. This position is offered as permanent, full-time position based at our Exhibition Street offices in Melbourne.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the Workplace Services team to provide efficient services across corporate head office environments.
  • Develop and implement a workplace strategy for space planning and workplace design across Australia.
  • Research and adopt the latest digital tools for space and technology management to optimize office operations.
  • Oversee procurement of contractors and services to ensure competitiveness and cost-effectiveness for corporate office management.
  • Ensure compliance with property regulations, including reporting, fire, electrical, and mechanical safety standards.
  • Manage office security, mail services, and employee space planning while coordinating minor refurbishments and office relocations across multiple locations.

What do I need?

  • You will bring proven experience in managing workplace operations and leading teams (6-10 people) to success, as well as a strong track record in project management to drive result.
  • Excellent client service and communication skills are a must, as is your ability to deal with a variety of issues concurrently to deliver a seamless workplace experience.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office suite are a must.
  • You will be a creative, energetic, innovative thinker and hold a high level of commercial acumen, analytical skills, and computer literacy.
