Now, we want to play an even bigger role in improving the long-term health of all Australians. We’re operating and building a network of Healthcare Centres to help people access GP and multi-disciplinary primary care services from the experts they trust, all under one roof.
About the Opportunity
The Head of Clinical Quality – Healthcare Centres brings extensive clinical and commercial expertise within a primary care environment. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Director of Healthcare Centres and the GM of Primary Care Innovation to identify and secure additional funding opportunities for Healthcare Centres, particularly through Nurse Led models of care. Additionally, you will oversee the funding processes and accreditation for all practices within the Bupa Healthcare Network.
This role will also be the Nursing Lead for Bupa Healthcare Centres, providing strategic leadership to drive the development and implementation of nursing strategies to ensure high-quality, evidence-based care while meeting Australian healthcare regulations.
As the lead for clinical quality control and assurance within Healthcare Centres, this role will develop and embed, ‘Bupa-specific’ clinical governance protocols and associated audit and quality assurance frameworks to ensure delivery of high quality, safe, patient-centred care across Bupa Healthcare Centres.
This role can be based in Melbourne Sydney or Brisbane
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and implementation of clinical governance, quality assurance, and compliance frameworks.
- Design and drive Nurse Led models of care and support innovation in service delivery.
- Oversee clinical risk, incident management, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Manage accreditation and funding processes across the Healthcare Centres network.
- Provide strategic nursing leadership and support professional development across clinical teams.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external agencies to optimise care outcomes and secure funding.
About You:
- AHPRA registered Registered Nurse with a tertiary qualification in Nursing (post-grad highly regarded).
- 5+ years of clinical experience, preferably in general practice or corporate healthcare.
- Strong background in clinical governance, accreditation, and risk management.
- Skilled in building relationships and leading teams through change and innovation.
- Strategic mindset with a passion for delivering high-quality, patient-focused care.
- Proven ability to influence at all levels and drive clinical and commercial outcomes.
