The opportunity
We are a global function of over 100 audit professionals, who take a risk-based and data-led approach to drive our internal consultancy and valuable insights to Senior Management and the Board. We provide independent assurance on Bupa's risk management and control environment and are focused on influencing positive change to help our stakeholders continuously improve and better achieve strategic objectives.
We are seeking two Graduate Assurance Analysts to join our recently awarded 2024 IIA Audit Team of the Year, focusing on Australia, New Zealand and Hong Kong.
Our two-year graduate program is designed to equip you with the fundamental professional and personal skills needed to emerge as exceptional leaders and to create enduring, positive career memories. By joining our GIA team, you will work alongside industry experts, receive outstanding learning and development, gaining hands-on experience and exposure to real-world projects, that’ll build the skills to take you anywhere. Our complex corporate environment provides opportunities to benefit from its diversity. You will gain exposure to different businesses and products, diverse personalities, strategies and working styles.
This is a 2-year permanent full-time program, based in Melbourne. (Bupa offers hybrid working arrangements where there’s flexibility to work from the office and/or home)

You will be part of a high performing and connected team. You’ll be exposed to a wide range of audit projects across all of Bupa's diverse businesses and become a key contributor in audit delivery, participate in stakeholder discussions and make key audit decisions.

At the end of the two-year program, your transferrable skills and knowledge acquired throughout this program, will make you well placed to secure available analyst roles within GIA, or across Bupa’s businesses for you to continue your career journey at Bupa.
You will add value by:
- Assisting in audit delivery by working as part of a high-performing team focused on improving key processes and controls across the business.
- Building foundational relationships with internal and external stakeholders and supporting the flow of knowledge that contributes to better risk and control awareness across the business.
- Learning and contributing to GIA’s audit methodologies, working alongside experienced auditors to ensure audit execution aligns with Bupa’s internal standards and professional practices.
- Participating in functional development initiatives and ad-hoc assurance work under the direction of the Internal Audit leadership team.
- Managing compliance with the GIA policies, procedures, and organisation.
- Supporting change through identifying enhancement opportunities and challenging the status quote to improve the operation of GIA and Bupa.

What do I need?
- You must be in the final year of a university undergraduate or postgraduate degree or have completed university studies in the last 12 months at the time of your application.
- Have relevant tertiary qualifications (business/commerce) with a strong academic record.
- Have a desire to undertake professional qualifications (CA, CIA, ICAA, CPA, CISA, CIMA etc.).
- Demonstrated communication (written and verbal), presentation and interpersonal skills.
- You’re a permanent resident of Australia, or Citizen of Australia or New Zealand at the time of your application.
