The purpose of this job is:
The Finance Operations Officer plays a pivotal role in executing finance processes across multiple functional areas, supporting both in-house operations and those managed by our offshore partner team. Working within a collaborative model, the role ensures seamless integration between onshore and offshore teams, enabling efficient, accurate, and timely delivery of core financial activities.
To achieve key outcomes, the Officer builds and maintains strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, particularly the offshore partner team. In close partnership with the Finance Operations Team Lead and Manager, the role ensures consistent application of finance processes and adherence to standards.
How will I help?
- Oversee critical processes performed by Off-shore partner to ensure accuracy and quality is maintained.
- Assist with knowledge sharing training. of offshore Team where required.
- Liaise with banking partners, to facilitate banking transactions and resolve issues.
- Perform timely and accurate reconciliation of complex general ledger bank accounts.
- Assist with critical payments and funds transfers where required.
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, policies, and internal controls.
- Maintain and support internal control systems to safeguard financial processes.
- Assist with month-end activities performed by the offshore partner team, ensuring smooth and accurate close processes.
- Assist/respond to customers, dentists and suppliers, with respect to escalated/complex issues.
What you’ll need to make it possible:
- Minimum of 2 years in a previous finance/ accounting role.
- Experience in a similar finance operations role within a large organisation.
- Experience/understanding of the management and reconciliation of the dental contracts and knowledge of dental commissions, invoicing (Dental Drawer Processes) would be highly regarded.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and standards, supported by practical experience, formal qualifications, and ongoing professional development.
- Demonstrated experience working in a fast-paced environment, managing diverse tasks.
- Sound knowledge of financial management systems, with preference given to candidates experienced in Oracle.
- Comprehensive bank reconciliation experience and accounts payable process knowledge.
- Adaptable to change, with a willingness to develop new skills and competencies as business needs evolve.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment, meeting common goals under tight deadlines and pressure.
- Exceptional attention to detail coupled with strong time management skills to ensure accuracy and timely delivery of tasks.
