The purpose of this job is:


As a Finance Analyst (Fixed term contract until October 2027) within the Market Unit (MU) FP&A team, you are responsible for the budgeting, reporting and analysis of the Corporate Functions cost base. 

Critical in this role will be establishing trusted relationships with stakeholders in FP&A and partners across various Functions, understanding your function and the key financial drivers to deliver insightful reporting, forecasting, and assisting with the preparation and delivery of the annual operating plan.

How will you help? 

  • Manage month end reporting close, delivering true and accurate financial results – includes preparation of month end journals, variance analysis and investigative enquiries to understand underlying cost drivers
  • Prepare monthly executive reporting submissions – includes variance commentary, rolling forecast, risks and opportunities
  • Support the delivery of forecast and annual operating plan as part of the 3-year annual planning process - includes leading the collation, analysis and providing information to support throughout preparation process
  • Provide ad-hoc information, analysis and value-added insights to support decision making - either as requested, or of your own cognisance from having identified an opportunity
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships and create successful partnerships with your stakeholders, developing a good understanding of your function and the key financial drivers to improve quality of value added insights
  • Continuously identify areas for improvement - such as processes, or ways presenting information – and assist with the design and implementation of improved changes


What you’ll need to make it possible:

To succeed in this role, you'll need a degree in Finance, Business, or a related field, along with a CA or CPA qualification (or similar). Experience in management reporting, budgeting, planning, FP&A or external audit within a large or complex environment is essential. 

In addition to technical expertise, strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills are vital for simplifying complex financial concepts and explaining them clearly to a wide range of stakeholders. Being proactive, driven, and eager to exceed expectations is a must in this fast-paced environment.

The ability to think both analytically and commercially and a passion for understanding complex financial reporting processes and driving improvements and efficiencies will set you apart in this role.
