The opportunity
The Customer Experience & Design team is on a mission to accelerate Bupa’s Health Insurance business by delivering exceptional, memorable customer experiences. As a key player in our rapidly growing team, you’ll drive meaningful outcomes through cross-organisational collaboration and innovation.
The Customer Lifecycle & Communications Manager will lead the design and execution of innovative customer engagement strategies that drive Bupa’s vision for personalised healthcare. Taking full ownership of health journeys from concept through to launch, you’ll deliver impactful experiences that resonate with our customers.
In this critical role, you’ll be a champion of a customer-first culture—harnessing deep customer insights to fuel data-driven decisions and inspire transformative outcomes across the organisation.

This is a 12-month fixed term contact, full-time position, based in Melbourne office. (Bupa offers hybrid working arrangements and you can work from the office or from home)
How will I help?
You will add value by:
- Amplify the voice of the customer and champion their needs across the business to uplift our customer-centric culture and capability.
- Design, optimise and deliver end-to-end lifecycle communications journeys that enable connected experiences across multiple channels.
- Support the development and delivery of the Customer Experience strategy to drive growth, revolutionise our customer experiences and achieve our ambitions to become a healthcare partner.
- Aggregate and synthesise customer, commercial and operational insights to identify and prioritise opportunities that deliver sustainable customer and business outcomes.
What do I need?
- Hold tertiary qualifications in business, marketing, customer experience, or related fields, demonstrating your commitment to excellence and expertise.
- Exposure and understanding of customer lifecycle management principles and engagement strategies.
- Possess experience working in the Australian healthcare/clinical industry, giving you a solid understanding of the industry's challenges and opportunities.
- Excel in strong interpersonal and communication skills, enabling you to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative culture and influence outcomes.
- Bring a passionate and customer-centric approach to the role, coupled with a strategic mindset that can dive into operational details and tackle challenges with creativity and collaboration. Additionally, your courageous mindset allows you to remain optimistic, confident, authentic, honest, and respectful, even in complex or messy situations.
