Lead the future of better health; 172 dental practices, 48 optical & hearing stores, 11 Mindplace clinics, 32 GP clinics and one exceptional opportunity!

We’re looking for a Chief of Staff (CoS) to support our Healthcare Services businesses portfolio, consisting of Bupa Dental, Optical & Hearing, Mindplace (Mental health clinics) and Bupa Medical (GP clinics). The CoS will play an integral role in the growth agenda of the Healthcare Services portfolio, with a particular focus on the Bupa Medical and Mindplace businesses as they establish and mature.

Reporting to the Managing Director, Healthcare Services (MD HS), the CoS works collaboratively across all businesses (both within HS and across APAC) to build strong relationships, and drive outcomes. As part of broader HS, the CoS also maintains a strong connection to Bupa's Government Services department. Working with the HS Leadership team, you’ll proactively drive and improve the commercial performance, operational effectiveness, and governance across each of the HS businesses, ensuring an uplift in strategic alignment and execution.

At Bupa, purpose meets possible. Join us and help shape a future where healthcare is more connected, more personal and more human. Where your work has purpose and your voice matters.

Just imagine the impact you could make

This role will be expected to operate independently and collaboratively with direct accountability for the following:

  • Supporting the MD HS to bring to life the HS Vision and Strategy – acting as a central point of coordination and accountability to drive the strategy and vision forward.
  • Partnering with the HS Businesses to drive the commercial performance and operational effectiveness of the businesses
  • Building and maintaining deep trust and strong relationships with the HS Leadership Team, exercising sound judgement and absolute discretion in handling highly confidential and sensitive information.
  • Embedding a culture of measurement, working closely with the COO to coordinate reporting and actionable insights to drive business improvement
  • Partnering with the People team, Risk team, APAC Executive team and external stakeholders in developing capabilities, key communications and presentations, ensuring continual improvement in governance and decision making
  • Demonstrating strong project management capability, with the agility to move seamlessly across initiatives and deliver high-impact project leadership or support as business priorities evolve.

What you’ll need to make it possible

We’re looking for a proven business leader with extensive experience overseeing multi-site operations, ideally within healthcare or service-based industries. You’ll bring a strong track record in driving operational excellence, and leading large, geographically distributed teams to deliver outstanding performance and customer care. Experience in strategic planning, workforce optimisation, process improvement, and compliance within a regulated environment is essential, along with the ability to partner effectively with clinicians and corporate leaders to support growth and innovation.

We’re seeking a pragmatic yet personable leader who combines strategic vision with hands-on execution. You know how to turn plans into action, inspire teams through authentic engagement, and get things done with focus, energy, and accountability.

Why you’ll love it?

We support our people to be the healthiest and happiest versions of themselves.

  • Attractive renumeration and generous yearly bonus based on performance and deliverables
  • Significant discount on our health insurance, travel, car, home, contents and pet insurance products!
  • Our global wellbeing initiative, Viva which gives you access to health services and wellbeing activities and benefits
  • The opportunity to continue growing some of Australia’s largest Healthcare networks and contributing to better healthcare outcomes for Australians

If this sounds exciting, we’d love to hear from you. Let’s shape the future of healthcare, together.

Please note that selection processes will commence from Friday 16th January 2026.
