The purpose of this job
At Bupa, we have been helping people take care of their health for more than 75 years. Now, we are providing that same, high-quality care, to our community through Bupa Medical Centres and Urgent Care Clinics. Our primary care and urgent care centres are open to everyone, whether our patients are a Bupa member or not.
Bupa Medical is Bupa’s fastest growing health service, supported by an upcoming acquisition which will see our national footprint triple within the next 6 months.
In this initial 6-month fixed term contract (with potential for extension or permanency), reporting to our Integration Director, the Change and Communications Manager will lead change and communications activities, with a key focus on the upcoming acquisition and integration of over 50 practices to our existing network. Working closely with the Integration Team and subject matter experts, this role will drive engagement, support people through change, and deliver effective change and communication strategies.
Responsibilities include:
- Lead change and communication activities for a major integration program.
- Develop change plans, impact assessments and communication strategies to support successful adoption.
- Partner with stakeholders, sponsors and leadership teams to co-create the change vision, case for change and engagement approach; lead the development of communications strategies to support this.
- Create clear and compelling communications, presentations and change resources.
- Identify change impacts, risks, dependencies and opportunities, and provide clear recommendations to support decision-making and delivery confidence.
- Manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality results in a fast-paced environment.
What you’ll need to make it possible
- Tertiary qualification in a Business, Communications, Organisational Development, HR or a related discipline
- Proven experience leading change and communication activities within complex transformation, integration or acquisition programs.
- Exceptional written communication skills with the ability to produce executive-ready content quickly and effectively.
- Exposure to the healthcare sector is highly regarded.
- Demonstrated ability to bring structure and clarity to complex, evolving and uncertain environments.
- Strong collaborative mindset.
- Strong experience with and comfort in negotiating and influencing stakeholders across all levels.
- Highly organised with strong planning, prioritisation and delivery skills.
- Ability to synthesise multiple pieces of information into tailored, easy to absorb communications.
- Comfortable and calm under pressure, with demanding and competing deadlines - you consider yourself adaptable and resilient.
