Eastbrooke Ambrose Family Medical Centre is a long‑standing healthcare hub in the heart of Mackay, supporting the community since 1976.
In February 2026, we opened our brand‑new Urgent Care Clinic, designed to deliver high‑quality, non‑emergency acute care with strong clinical support and modern facilities.

The Opportunity – Urgent Care GP
 Partner with Bupa and join a supportive, professionally managed environment where you can focus on delivering excellent patient care while we handle the operational and administrative load. Bupa supports over 2,500 independent clinicians across Australia.

We are seeking GPs with Urgent Care experience (desirable) who are looking for a long‑term or short-term arrangement, in a high‑demand service.

What’s on Offer

  • Brand‑new Urgent Care Clinic 
  • Shifts available 8am–10pm, 7 days a week
  • Supported by experienced nurses during all operating hours
  • Attractive hourly rates:
  • Mon–Fri 8am–6pm: $250 p/h
  • Mon–Fri 6pm–10pm: $275 p/h
  • Sat, Sun & Public Holidays: $275 p/h
  • Flexible arrangements – choose the shifts that suit you
  • Strong earning potential in an established, high‑traffic location
  • Access to opportunities across Bupa Medical Centres nationwide
  • Best Practice and Lyrebird software 

About You

  • FRACGP, FACRRM or equivalent
  • Previous Urgent Care experience desirable
  • Confident working independently with strong clinical autonomy
