You might think you already know a lot about Bupa. You’ll know we provide health insurance and aged care services across Australia and you’ve probably also seen our dental and optical clinics in your local shopping centres. But what you might not realise is that we also deliver health services to 85,000 Defence Force members and their families across more than 50 locations in Australia.
About the role
Based in the defence office in Gallipoli Barracks in Enorggera, the Quality Manager will be responsible for the management and maintenance of the Quality Management System within the Southern QLD region. You’ll coordinate data collection, internal audit schedules and manage local quality initiatives at all the health facilities within the health units. In this exciting role, you'll oversee the management and investigation of clinical risks and incidents across six health centres and clinics providing services including dental, medical, physiotherapy, mental health, nursing, general practice and referrals to specialists.
- Permanent Fulltime Position
You will:
- Support development and implementation of a systems approach to health care delivery across health units
- Be the local lead agent and point of contact for all issues around health services accreditation and performance against standards
- Be the local lead agent and point of contact for the Garrison Health Operations Audit Framework including self-assessments and clinical audit schedule
- Provide training and direct assistance in clinical quality improvement methodology for personnel in the health unit
- Action clinical improvement tasks
- Provide the required reports to and participate as an active member of the Regional Clinical Governance Working Group
- Undertake tasks associated with the resolution of complaints, clinical reviews/investigations and clinical incidents
About you
To deliver real outcomes in this role you will be an inherently confident and influential communicator who enjoys working with people of all backgrounds in a complex operating environment. You’ll be capable of taking a system-wide view of models of care across the health units.
Experience working within defence healthcare essential.
Must hold current baseline clearance.
You will also require:
- Australian citizenship
- A minimum 5 years full time equivalent experience as an AHPRA registered health practitioner
- Current unconditional and unrestricted registration with AHPRA
- The ability to hold and maintain a baseline security clearance
