About The Role
As the General Manager of our Caulfield care home, you will have full responsibility for its overall daily operations. You will support and champion the Bupa Model of Care to our residents, create a culture for our people to love working at Bupa, and you will achieve extraordinary business performance that promotes an exceptional resident experience. You will be supported by the care home leadership team and the Regional Manager, as well as Quality and Education Consultants, to achieve our desired business goals, and provide high level of care expected by our residents and their families.
Duties
- Operational management
- Collaborate with clinical leaders to minimise clinical risk
- Financial management
- Staff retention and recruitment
- Training and development of staff
- Succession planning
- Occupancy management
- Roster management
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders
Skills and Experience
- Previous management experience in a residential aged care home
- Exceptional operational leadership experience
- Demonstrated abilities in growing and developing people
- Advanced understanding of service improvement, WHS principles and previous experience within a regulatory environment
- Proven ability to manage resources and exceed targets
- Track record of accomplishment of successfully implementing change initiatives
- Possess excellent communication skills with high levels of emotional intelligence
- An thorough understanding of Resident Rights, Aged Care Accreditation Standards and Outcomes
- Completion of, or working towards, a post graduate qualification in Health Management/Aged Care or related field (desirable)
