About the Practice:
Our Healthy Smiles Dental Group practice is well known for its cosmetic implant and general dentistry. We are a solid, stable team looking for an experienced Practice Manager as we prepare for a significant growth in customer volumes. Team dynamic is incredibly important to us in our 9-chair practice. The Opportunity:
We have a versatile, exciting and rewarding opportunity at our Blackburn South location, available for an experienced Practice Manager seeking permanent full-time work (Monday to Fridays):
- Coaching, leading & developing a high performing practice team in a positive environment for both staff and patients
- Assist with overall financial performance of the practice in line with the approved budget
- Maintain sterilisation, infection control standards and stock control
- Patient management; greeting and welcoming patients, answering all phone enquiries, making & confirming appointments; checking, processing & managing customer accounts
- General administration including processing payments using EFTPOS & HiCaps
- Proactively marketing your practice to drive patient numbers
- Effectively manage the recruitment & selection for all practice staff
You’ll Bring:
- Proven experience as a Dental Practice Manager or strong background in dental operations.
- Operational experience for a large dental practice 6+ chairs
- Demonstrated business and people management skills
- Strong organisational, administrative, and time management abilities
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
- Solid understanding of financial performance, including P&L management
- Ability to generate income and manage costs effectively
- Confidence in handling challenging conversations and resolving issues promptly
- Comfortable engaging with a diverse range of people – from dentists and patients to practice teams
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with strong business acumen
