The purpose of this job is:
To support our Dentists in delivering exceptional patient care by providing efficient chairside assistance before, during, and after appointments. This role encompasses all aspects of Dental Assisting, including instrument sterilisation, maintaining a clean and well-presented clinical environment, stock management and ordering, and ensuring the highest clinical standards are upheld.
As part of our cross-trained team, you will also receive administration training and assist with patient bookings, billing and payments, records management, and responding to patient enquiries, helping to deliver a seamless and positive patient experience.
What you'll need to make it possible
- Previous Dental Assisting experience is essential. A Certificate III in Dental Assisting is highly regarded; however, we encourage candidates with relevant experience and a genuine passion for the dental industry to apply.
- Demonstrated chairside assisting skills, including instrument handling, suction, mixing materials, assisting with radiographs (X-rays), and sound knowledge of dental instruments and procedures.
- Strong understanding of infection control principles, with the ability to clean, prepare, and maintain treatment rooms, instruments, and equipment in accordance with Bupa Dental Care procedures and WHS requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a warm, patient-focused approach and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, modern dental practice while contributing positively to a supportive team environment.
- Flexibility and willingness to assist across both clinical and reception duties as required.
As part of the application process, you may be invited to complete a short online interview powered by AI. This takes approximately 30 minutes and helps us gain a deeper understanding of your experience, strengths, and suitability for the role.
