Be at the 💙 of growing your career

As trusted healthcare professionals, we provide care and support to over 5,000 residents across Australia. Our Registered Nurse Graduate Programs empower you to make a meaningful impact on residents' clinical outcomes and overall quality of life. You'll be at the very heart of our refreshingly different person-first commitment to care working alongside our clinical leaders, nurse practitioners and more.

In our care homes, a person-first approach is central to how we deliver care. This focus fosters genuine relationships with residents, enabling you to put our residents, their needs and their feelings at the heart of how you deliver clinical care.

As of 2024, we are excited to be able to offer two unique Registered Nurse Graduate programs, each designed to give you the experience and support to elevate your career in nursing.

Registered Nurse Graduate Program (24 months)

Bupa’s 24-month graduate program provides a supportive environment to develop your skills and knowledge through training, mentorship, and regular check-ins.

Over our two-year program, you'll work in one of Bupa's 50+ aged care homes across Queensland, NSW, Victoria or South Australia. You will also complete a 3-month placement in an acute setting with our partner Ramsay Health in a first of its kind graduate program.

Registered Nurse Graduate Program (12 months)

Our Aged Care Essentials program provides a mentoring and supportive environment for you as a newly registered nurse to develop your skills and knowledge. You'll get plenty of opportunities to springboard your career and keep building your experience for further career development.

For more information, see below.

Do you want to enrich the lives of residents and build a meaningful career?

Over our 12-month program, you'll complete a 'Transition to Professional Practice' (TPP) program that combines formal learning alongside preceptorship and practical clinical placement rotations in one of Bupa's 50+ aged care homes across Queensland, NSW, Victoria or South Australia. Our program has specific focus on leadership with one quarter of the program dedicated to learning in this area. Not only will you grow, but you'll learn how to empower others to deliver best quality care.

"One of my best highlights in working at Bupa is my career growth. Bupa has helped me a lot in developing my clinical knowledge. Because back then, I used to work in a hospital and I used to think that you probably have to go to the hospital to learn more about clinical knowledge. But that's not the case, working in aged care, you also develop clinical knowledge. You will look after all the people and then you can make your own decision and they will support you with their work instruction from best practices."
