What are we offering the Graduate Dentist?

What does the Program look like?

  • Three face-to-face 2-day workshops alongside oral health therapist graduates in Sydney or Melbourne (costs covered by the program)
  • Modules covering treatment planning, patient consent, clinical record keeping, prevention, restorative dentistry, periodontics, oral health promotion, orthodontics, prosthodontics and priority population care
  • Modules delivered through online webinars or face-to-face training sessions
  • Presentations and case studies led by internal and external guest speakers
  • Participation in group discussions, case studies, and collaborative presentations

Where are the Bupa Dental Clinics based?

  • Bupa Dental Care has practices located in every State and Territory in Australia.
  • How many hours a week will the Graduate Dentist work?
  • Graduates will work a minimum of 30 hours and a maximum of 38 hours per week, which could be split between two practices.

Can a Dentist start prior to the commencement of the program?

  • The program will commence in March each year. Graduates who are registered with relevant dental boards may begin clinical work prior to the official program start date.

What are we offering the Graduate Oral Health Therapist?

  • Work within a multi skilled dental team
  • Utilisation of full scope of clinical practice, including opportunities within aged care settings.

What does the Program look like?

  • 3 face-to-face 2-day workshops alongside the dental graduates in Sydney or Melbourne (Bupa Dental Care Graduate Program covers costs)
  • Modules regarding treatment planning, consent, clinical record keeping, prevention, restorative, periodontics, oral health promotion and orthodontics, priority populations.
  • Modules will be delivered via Online webinars or face-to-face training
  • Internal and external guest speakers
  • Participation in group case studies and presentations
