About the Role | Principal Engineer – Enablement– Melbourne (Permanent, Hybrid)
The Principal Engineer – Enablement role is part of the Workplace Technology & Enablement leadership team within Technology Operations. They lead a customer-focused business engagement team to co-design digital workplace solutions and ensure the delivery of seamless employee workplace experiences. This role involves evolving the digital workplace program, including strategy, community management, employee enablement, and change & adoption.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Collaborate with business owners and leaders to enable and empower employees through the digital workplace.
- Lead and manage contractors, vendors, and consultants on project work across the employee experience.
- Manage the Enablement team: set goals, drive performance, and build a customer-focused culture.
- Set and maintain a vision and roadmap for the digital workplace experience, continually evolving offerings.
- Ensure Bupa remains ahead of market best practices for employee experience and continuous improvement.
- Define standards, frameworks, customer journeys, and govern Technology Employee Experience.
- Ensure compliance to platform service design and maintain service catalog including new services.
- Prioritise and manage portfolio backlogs and change pipelines, coordinating impacts on other systems.
- Contribute to simplification of infrastructure, applications, and tools.
- Operate agile delivery governance and reporting processes to deliver changes quickly at low risk.
What You’ll Bring
- Expert knowledge of Office 365 technologies (Teams, Planner, SharePoint, Power Platform).
- Experience in consulting and change/adoption initiatives.
- Deep understanding of agile practices and principles.
- Hands-on experience in end-to-end program/project delivery with distributed teams.
- Budget management experience and vendor relationship management.
- Prior experience with ServiceNow technologies.
- Tertiary qualifications in Information Systems or related discipline or equivalent experience.
- Strong commercial acumen, leadership, influencing, and collaboration skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills at all levels.
- Ability to think strategically and innovatively and interpret insights into actions.
